MorComm is based on the San Francisco Peninsula in Belmont, California and currently has two divisions: MorComm Press and MorComm Technical Writing Services.
MorComm Press
MorComm Press produces and distributes high-quality rock climbing and bouldering guides to Castle Rock State Park, Sanborn-Skyline County Park and Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District Preserves. All these historic climbing areas are located a short distance either east or west of Skyline Boulevard (CA 35) as it meanders along the crest of the Santa Cruz Mountains between Page Mill Road above Palo Alto in the north and US 17 out of the Silicon Valley in the south. The Press currently has a new title, a Rock Climber's Guide to the Castle Rock Area (2007), which is available at all Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) retail stores in Northern California and on the Web from Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble. It can also be purchased from a number of local climbing gyms, including Planet Granite in Belmont and Sunnyvale as well as all Touchstone Climbing Gyms in San Francisco and Berkeley.
MorComm Technical Writing Services
MorComm Technical Writing Services produces and edits industry-standard documentation for telecommunications and data communications hardware and software applications, including user and reference manuals, training guides, test procedures, data sheets, application notes and marketing white papers. We have over fifteen years' experience researching and writing documentation for T1/E1 telecommunications (local loop to DS-3), DDS (Digital Data System), ISDN, DTE-DCE protocol analysis, LAN/WAN diagnostics and TCP/IP networking. Our clients include TTC, Telco Systems, Fujitsu Ltd., Carrier Access Corporation, DCM Industries and Margalla Communications, Inc. We have worked closely with test engineers in an Alpha Lab environment to produce network qualifying test procedures and performance standards pursuant to ISO 9001/2000 document compliance. We have also managed patent application processes for ASICs in a telecom systems design laboratory environment.
